Opera Reader not working

I installed Opera 12.00 labs build 1113. However, the much-advertised Opera Reader doesn't work for me at all, except for the examples. I have opera:config Scroll is Pan & Smooth Scrolling enabled. I use Win Vista Home Premium. What might be the reason?
