Copy link with just one click?
Even if I'm an "old" Opera user, keyboard and mouse shortcuts customization still remains a mystery to me...I would like to do a very simple action: I would like to copy a link URL with only one click while pressing a key (say for example, alt...).
Yes I know, I can simply right click on link, and select "copy link". Ok. But when I have a lot of link to copy, it's quite boring.
I tried to check in the keyboard and mouse shortcuts options (and this is not the first time), but Opera seems to separate them strictly: you can customize mouse gestures, you can customize keyboard shortcuts but when it comes to creating actions which involve keyboard AND mouse: no way....
I really appreciate this kind of "mixed" shortcuts, and Opera proves to be able to manage them as built-in features (e.g.: closing a tab left clicking on it while keeping shift key pressed). But why users can't customize them?
So is there any tip to copy links with one click, or am I condemned for ever to the "point link - right click - point menu - left click" hell?

Rightclick + C

Not too bad... It works fine.
But something like "shift + left click" or "alt + left click" would be more logical. When I'm pointing the link, I already exactly know what I want to do: copy the link address, nothing else. In this case, the contextual menu popping up is useless (and quite boring) and right click feels as "unnatural".
Anyway, if this is the only solution...

Thanks a lot.

Edit: It's [right-click the link], Ctrl + Alt + C.
Ctrl+Alt+C is the keyboard shortcut for copying a link. Before you can use it you have to set focus to the link, either by tabbing to the link via keyboard or right-clicking with the mouse. But since you already right-clicked, the one-key shortcut indicated by the underlined character of the menu entry (Copy Link Address) is much more convenient.

I don't think so: When I click with the primary (left) button on a link, I expect the link to open. Shift-click and Ctrl-click are already reserved for designating in which kind of tab the link will open. Any other action belongs to the context menu. If it gets too boring for you, try to click quicker
And if you really look for excitement, hold down C and then right-click. You will hardly notice the short flicker of the context menu, but you will get unexpected results when the current focus is set to an an input field and the "C" ends up where it doesn't belong....Originally posted by mochikun:

I thought that too, but it still doesn't work for me. There are no underlinings in the context menu.
I'm not using Opera in English, but I didn't think of that... oh well, figured it out now, it's k in Norwegian.

There are always underlinings in all context menus ... but obviously not in Opera for Windows
Sorry, I didn't know. But the good news is that the - invisible - shortcuts work in WIndows. If you look at the screenshots you can easily figure out how Opera assigns the keys:In my Japanese version it's pretty simple: Opera adds ASCII characters since there are none:

In English it would be:

And in Norwegian non-ASCII characters are ignored:

Nice, mochikun! As I was reading through the thread I was going to add a post to suggest C+rightclick, which I "discovered"
because that's what I thought you meant when you first suggested Rightclick + C and wondered why you wrote it "backwards."
But after I understood how your Rightclick + C was essentially a combination mouse-menu shortcut, it still felt more natural to me to use C as a modifier key (like Ctrl, Alt, or Shift) to just hold down while right-clicking.
...But I was still trying to think through if/when that might backfire on me (and vaguely thinking about text-boxes)... ...and your last sentence explained it all.
