How to backup/restore extensions ?
My Opera profile is located on a custom location (and partition); the only thing that remains in the default "%APPDATA%\Roaming\Opera\" folder is the "operaprefs.ini" file, everything else is on "D:\Profils\Opera\". Whenever I want to format "C:\" and I reinstall my system, all I have to do is to backup that operaprefs.ini file and then I can get all my settings back in no time. *EXCEPT* for my extensions and their settings !Yet I have a "D:\Profils\Opera\widgets" folder that contains my .oex files (ex: focus-on-textbox-1.7-1.oex, ghostery-0.9.2-1.oex, ...), my widgets.dat file and a bunch of "wuid-XXX" folders probably actually containing the extensions settings !? after reinstalling Opera, all my extensions are lost, I need to download them all again one by one and manually redo all the configuring !?
So is there a simple and effective way to actually backup and restore extensions in Opera ?

Correct. Put you also need to have the operaprefs.ini file telling Opera where your widgets/ folder is located.
Oh, late answer, sorry...
Well as I told you, I always backup my OperaPrefs.ini file and it contains the section...
... where {SmallPreferences} - from what I understand - points to this key defined in the [User Prefs] section...
By the way, this {SmallPreferences} is used in several places in my OperaPrefs.ini, for example...
and all those settings are retrieved correctly after I format and restore my OperaPrefs.ini.
So again, extensions are not restored, even though everything is correct in my OperaPrefs.ini file.
It would be interesting to have developers clean a little bit this part, and have a real profile manager. Chrome for example is doing something great in its latest version, allowing easy switching between profiles, each with their own parameters and extensions...

Ok I get it: Opera isn't using this setting at all:
It is forcing widgets in this folder:
Can you please correct this ?
[Widgets]
Widgets File={SmallPreferences}widgets/widgets.dat
It is forcing widgets in this folder:
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Opera\Opera\widgets
