Login Problems My Opera with Opera

I am currently running:

Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (Fully updated)
Gnome 2.30.2
Opera 11.52 (Updated today) Got the binary from opera's website not the Ubuntu Repos.

Problem:
I cannot stay logged in to my.opera.com when I am using the Opera Browser. When I log in (enter user/pass), it takes me to my page like I am logged in, but when ever I click on anything it asks me to login again. (and it does this over and over again...)

[Sorry this has been edited to remove useless details]

[EDITED - SOLUTION]
I figured out the problem, and a temporary fix for users.

I have tried this in both Firefox AND Opera.

If you disable javascript you can login and stay logged in. But you lose some of the functionality javascript offers. If you re-enable Javascript, it will kick you out every time. So it looks to me like there is a problem with javascript on my opera. (I could be wrong... but disabling it fixed my problems in both browsers.)

Good luck.

The reason it worked in Firefox for me initially was I have Javascript turned off in Firefox by default. I re-enabled it to use the wysiwyg text editor on my blog, and it broke everything. Then I turned javascript back off, and everything worked... So if you were wondering why it initially worked in Firefox for me and NOT Opera, that is why, and how I figured it out. (for all you trouble shooters out there.)

yes Good to have a workaround, thank you very much Taggedzi party

But this must be fixed ASAP knight The strange thing is that I have no problems when using my own account, but when I try to use another account we need at Shoot & Tell group, then that kicks me out immediately after login.

Hi there!

Let's close this thread and follow up in the other thread, http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=1128652 :-)

We're looking into this, but it's baffling us too for the time being. Let's stock up on coffee and start delving into it full scale!
