Password Manager Issue - PM "Forgetting" Accounts
I believe once a long time ago, I posted about this issue - however, at the time, I hadn't realized what was causing the problem. Thankfully, I have figured out what triggers it, which I will present to you here:The Issue:
One of my most-used (and loved) features in Opera is the Password Manager. I use it all the time, yet there has been one problem that's been my bane for as long as I've used it. I have several web pages where I have multiple accounts to keep things organized, one of them being email and forum sites, and I frequently need to sign in and out of various accounts as I juggle things.
For the most part, that's easy: I hit Ctrl+Enter and choose the login that I need for that site, and going through things is a breeze.
The Problem:
However, I discovered that if you click the "Key" button for the password manager to log into a website, all other accounts for that website become inaccessible. If you hit Ctrl+Enter at any point after that, it no longer brings up the dialog box with accounts to choose from, it simply logs you in with the one you chose when using the key button, and there appears to be no means of undoing this.
The passwords and account names are not "gone" as they can still be viewed in the password manager itself, but they cannot be used.
The solution:
The password manager needs to have a control element in the interface to enable or disable a "default" website account, so that if a person should by mistake click the key button (which I have done several times while navigating), they can undo the setting and resume use of all their accounts. If there is a means of undoing this, I have not been able to find it, despite much searching in the web over the last few months whenever this has happened to me.
