12.00.1116 & Menu bar | Tab Bar | performance problems, amd64, Gentoo
JFYIToday I tested 1116 @ amd64/Gentoo and it still has critical problems and suffers from many performance issues mainly with tab bar:
1. When ShowMenuBar the tab bar craps (the same was with previous 11xx build)
2. When adding about 40 tabs and choosing Close All - it crashes
3. The overall tab manipulation performance suffers, 1116 is reluctant to focus on tab bars, switch between them, the tab bar lost that fast response feel for which many users liked it
4. If you upgrade from 1060 and have several skins installed in 1060 - there is a problem with config compatibility - 1116 will suffer from cleanup problem after it's shut down.
5. If you install any of the themes - 1116 will have problem shutting down fast.
6. If you add Main Bar & MenuBar - 11xx will mess with keys, shortcuts and TabBar focus, rendering it useless
For amd64/Gentoo the last working opera-next is 12.00.1090, I cannot recommend going any higher than that for at least amd64/Gentoo users.
