Twitter not working in Opera. Please HELP!

I just recently downloaded and joined the Opera bandwagon hoping it would be a better experience than Firefox, IE. But I was dismayed when my twitter can't open properly in Opera. Initially, when I can log into twitter I couldn't click on the Profile, Home links and the whole home page wouldn't load completely. Then after many attempts, when I log in, it just only shows the black banner on top with the twitter search function without even loading completely to the twitter feeds. I went to twitter on Internet Explorer and works just fine, so it couldn't be twitter causing the problem. There must be a problem with Opera. I know some people in the forum have encountered this in the past when twitter had the option of going back to the old twitter which solves the problem somewhat. But now that option is gone, there is no bypassing this problem.

I have Windows 7 64-bit running the updated version of Opera. I've seen a thread where people have been saying they have similar problems with the Windows 7. So I think this might clear the problem a bit.

I know there was an old thread about this but I figured it's more fitting to make a new one because the option of returning to old twitter is now gone and I really want to know the answer to this. I want to keep Opera as much as possible if this is the only problem it has. But if the problem persists, I might just have to consider switching to another browser as I use twitter frequently. Please if someone can offer their expertise, it would be greatly appreciated.
