Tabstacking has been broken for ages now
I need a clear answer that you are aware of this bug and that it will be fixed soon, or I will be forced to change my browser and uninstall Opera.Currently, it is not possible to change the order of tabs because they will automatically stack. Furthermore, what makes things worse, the tab is stacked on the side he was on before the move. This is happening if you are wrapping tabs to multiple rows.
For the love of God, fix this.
Moved to Opera browser.

God helps those who help themselves.
Turn off tab wrapping — use "No wrapping" or "Show extender menu."

Although the bug has definitely been reported to Opera many times already months ago, it's still not yet fixed. For their current bug fixing policy see i.a. http://tinyurl.com/3f3bx87

Maybe it's only a problem when you have a lot of tabs open, or when the tab bar has been set to wrap to multiple lines, or some such.
Nothing of these. The tab stacking bug is not related to the number of tabs. It doesnt even work properly if one has two windows with one tab each and tries to unify both windows by moving one tab to the other window.

Tab stacking is actually a nice feature. There would be no reason for anyone to ask for a setting to generally turn this function off if this bug (and all the other ones introduced with version 11.50) would eventually get fixed.
