NTTP accounts creation broklen completely !

AS: https://bugs.opera.com/wizarddesktop/ - does not work

when user creates new NNTP account, outgoing mail is sent to go via SMTP server, not via NNYP server
That completely forbids user from participating in community!

I got somehow used to that broken behaviors when opening news : / / hyperlinks. But now Opera does the same when creating new NNTP accoount from GUI

VERY BROKEN !

When you launch an URI, the smtp server for the account will be blank, the port will be set to 0 and authentication will be set to "none".

If you create a new newsgroup through the wizard and don't type in anything for the smtp server, the smtp server will be blank, but the port will be 25 and authentication will be auto. But, those 2 small differences shouldn't be a problem and Opera will still send the message to the newsgroup via the nntp protocol.

I'm not seeing any problem. Please be way more specific.

What doesn't work? I was able to file a bug report no problem.

interesting to check, because before, if accounts.ini stated Outgoing Protocol = SMTP, opera could not reply to newsgroup.
was that changed ?

I don't use newsgroups all the time, so I don't know. I tested in the latest snapshot at <http://my.opera.com/desktopteam/blog/> with the news.opera.com newsgroup.
