Hi, I couldn't reproduce this issue. I tried Android Opera Mini 6.5.26571.
What version of Opera Mini are you running?

Do you have opera link enabled?

no, i've no opera installed on my PC, so i didn't enable that option.
is that necessary?

No it's not necessary, but I thought maybe your search engines are synced with you PC browser and that's why they go away. I tried android and few other and the changes I made are saved even after I reboot the phone.

I do not think it is possible to remove or switch the default search engine. But you can add your custom ones.

yes you can't edit or remove the default engine, but you can remove and edit the rest. This is what I meant.
