Plugins only on demand does not work

I dont know the exact English translation for this option. But on the site specific settings one can choose that plugins (eg flash) are only enabled when you click on it (on demand). See this image to see what I mean.

this does not work on my system (Mandriva Linux 2010.2, Opera 11.52).
All I see is the SVG source code of the file
but the plugin is NOT missing! it's there and it works as long as I disable the "on demand" option.

when I go to this site: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
I see only this where the flash animation should be:

</g>

as soon as I disable the "only on demand"-option it works fine.

How can I fix this? I'd really like to use this feature on Linux.

Do you mean you see the actual svg source code in the page instead of the image itself? If you go to directly (don't click this link, that won't work - copy/paste it into a new tab) do you also see the source code instead of the image?

If I may, I'd like to continue this thread.

I have the same problem as the OP. And if I open missingplugin.svg in a new tab, as suggested, I also see the SVG source code instead of an image.

Do you also use Linux? Which distribution? 32bit / 64bit?
This could help narrowing it down.
I now use MS-Windows more often and there I never had this problem on Windows "7" (x64).
