Bug filed: DSK-348900 - Fwd Fw Fwd Fw etc on mail forwards

Forwarding an email with Fw: in the subject, Opera adds Fwd:
Someone else adds Fw:
An Opera users adds Fwd:
And you get Fwd: Fw: Fwd: Fw: Fwd: Fw: Fwd: Fw: Fwd: Fw: Fwd: ad nauseum

I don't think it's a bug. Opera will always add "fwd" when a mail is forwarded as many other mail clients do.

Maybe a wish-list thing.

@LeoCG: but if there is already an 'Fwd:' at the start of the subject, Opera doesn't double it. Problem is that different mail clients add different strings, and there's no spec for this. The relevant spec *does* mention the use of 'Re' for replies, but even there there are some clients (Outlook and some others) that think this needs localization, so you can end up with 'Re: AW: Re: AW:' when corresponding with a German Outlook user. Fwd or FW also gets localized sometimes.

So it might not be a bug per se, but certainly something that could be done better. It only needs a good list of the various strings Opera should recognize...

I'd like to solve the problem not just for users corresponding with English-speaking Outlook users. BTW, seeing a message getting forwarded that many times is usually a sign you are to read a dumb chain letter. I find the problem much more interesting for replies between two people smile
