How to Force Mini 6.5 and Mobile 11.5 Bundled Google Search to Give US Results?
I am in Thailand. I downloaded Opera Mini 6.5 and also Opera Mobile 11.5 to my Android device here in Thailand. Google is one of the bundled search engines in both Opera browsers. When I do a Google search from the Opera search bar, it gives me results from Thailand Google. Opera does not allow an edit or deletion of the bundled Google search engine as a "Manage Search Engines" option, though it does allow editing or deleting of other bundled search engines. How do I change the search behavior so I get my search results from USA Google? Altrnatively, is there a way to download the US version of Opera Mini/Opera Mobile to my devices in Thailand so the Google search results will be from the US Google rather than the Thai Google?Create a new search (in the mobile version anyway) and use that. Go to the page you want to use as a search, and then do a long hold on the search field - you'll see an option on the menu to add it as a search. Not sure about Mini, as I don't use that. (See the thread in the Opera Mobile for Android forum about trying to change the built-in mobile version of the Google search to a desktop search - while that may not be your request, that's where the topic of creating new searches came up.)
