When composing new mail clicking a contact would enter its address
Can you please, make so that when i compose a new mail and in left pane have contacts, and when my cursor in the fields To or Copy, then clicking a contact would place its email address there? Similar to TB compose window with contacts in left pane.I think it is obvious, that clicking a contact in compose mail tab express desire to add its address. With other tabs we can leave the behavior as it is now---showing the mails from that contact.
Thank you!
Serhiy
This feature might be cool.
Note though that there's a drop-down next to the To, Cc and Bcc fields where you can add contacts.
There's also auto-complete when you type in the fields.
You can also select multiple contacts in the contacts panel, right-click the selection and choose compose (or click the compose button) first. You can also add cc and bcc commands to that menu if you want. You can also goto "Shift + F12 -> buttons -> panels" and add the ">>" button before the "X" on the contacts panel. Then, you can click it to expand the contacts panel. With the expanded panel, it's easier to select contacts.
You can also create lists to easily compose to them.

Currently, clicking a contact shows mails to/from that contact, so I don't see how this can do both.
If you open your contacts, then right-click on a contact and select compose, the contact's email address is filled in automatically. If you right-click on a contact folder and select compose, all of the email addresses are filled in.

That's only because you have used Thunderbird. Since I have used Opera for years, its not obvious at all that it should do this.I think it is obvious, that clicking a contact in compose mail tab express desire to add its address.

A list wouldn't open if a compose tab was the active tab and the cursor was in the To, Cc or Bcc field. It *might* be possible to implement that without too much trouble. But, that's a guess.

That would break the existing behaviour. Why assume that the user doesn't want to view other emails by that contact while composing a new one, whether to someone else or to the same contact?
