Facebook and twitter problem with andriod tablet! Help (my wife)!

Hi,

I have an ASUS transformer, newly purchased, and was not very impressed with std browser. I tried a few but opera was the best by far (for my needs). It was faster, more responsive, and the on or off flash intergration was perfect. I downloaded it and installed it last week, live in australia, have turbo switched off, no 3g just adsl2+ internet and wi-fi router. Opera mobile is set to desktop preference.

For me, everything runs perfectly. However for my wife there are some problems.

She uses the very popular facebook and twitter pages a lot. Often in twitter all of the posts say they were posted 11 hours ago, no matter when they were posted. This is the same on the andriod twitter app so I think perhaps the app has affected the browser somehow?

Both pages use a type of header that moves with the page as you scroll up and down. In twitter, it is just a small nuisance I guess. But in facebook, as well as the header it has the sidebar that displays recent posts and the chatbox at the bottom. The post section cannot be resized in opera to make it smaller and neither her or I can scroll down to get to the chatbox part at the bottom. On the desktop, the chatbox automatically locks to the bottom of the page.

This means that the update section is 4-5 tablet pages long with the chatbox at the bottom. If you scroll fast enough (very fast) you can see it, then it moves down again so that the header is at the top of whatever you're looking at. Once or tiwce I have managed to tap it, which allows me to try and resize the update section, but it can't be selected in Opera.

Long post sorry. Any help would be appreciated. Mobile modes work but are not fantastic on the tablet.
