Autocomplete in url dropdown should search in previously entered urls

I.e. if i ever visited http://confluence.jetbrains.net/display/SCA/Scala+Plugin+Nightly+Builds+for+Nika then when i enter "scala nika" in url dropdown this url should be one of the top completion results.
This is how it works in Firefox and is very convenient since nowadays human friendly urls are very common.
Please see screenshot for comparison:

+1, the prioritization of hits in history is really bad.

+10! Especially about order of entries.

Additionally I would like to add that I really hate look and behavior of new dropdown menu in address bar! I also do not need search (google) suggestions there, as I find them annoying appearing somehow randomly. I would like old look (which was beautifully and included all nacassary informations: favicon, url, page title, page content with nice fonts and bolding what is nacassary). It was very similar to new Firefox dropdown, which only proves it is good layout and design! Also displaying data of last visit could be of some interest (in user friendly way, like today, yeasterday, in N days ago).

As of search suggestions, I'm personally opposed to having it ( I would rather use search bar on the right of address bar, than have universal address bar, which do not do what I want), but can accept it, if there would be way to disable suggessions, but still have them (also as an option) in the search menu.

Please consider this.

Thanks.

I think that url dropdown needs to be reorganized. It was changed several versions ago and I think it was better before that change.

In addition, when you type some url and its autocompleted (eg. because it matches some bookmark), hitting down arrow selects "search with google ..." but if you type some url that doesn't match any bookmark or previously typed address, "search with google" is already selected and hitting down arrow selects something else. It's just annoying. You can't memorize Opera's behavior and do the same things to achieve the same result.

Yes, that would be a great idea, but it would contradict opera's current policy which it to progressively become worst at every update(Kidding(kind of)).

But yeah, I don't use it that much, but I noticed the prioritizing has become pretty bad recently.

MAIN PC: 12.16 -> i7-2600k, 16GB RAM, Win 7 x64
HTPC: 15.0.1147.153 -> A10-6700, 8GB RAM, win 7 x64

I just keep getting more depressed every time I update opera. Very old bugs not fixed, easy fix not made(talking about no option to disable image resize here), new "features" even more annoying than the last ones implemented and often poor compatibility with a lot of website.

You seem to have completely mislead the original request. He isn't talking about the Opera Next's new URL drop-down list ordering.

I think he is talking about this, read with attention:

About the new Opera 12 URL drop-down list, see this topic:

Arg, I lost my post because I couldn't open an image in another tab... Here it is again:

Not sure who you're talking to, but that's also what I think he meant(I have no idea what opera 12 features are since I'm too afraid to try it).

By prioritizing I meant that when you start typing something in the address bar, in a previous version of opera(not sure when it changed exactly), it used to show you the page you visited the most at the top that fits what you wrote and all you had to do was press down and then enter to go to it.

But now it's always some weird site or a webpage you visited way less often than the main page(for example) that fits your criteria.

I did, read it, and then what, get discouraged because it's been that way for more than a year?

Both topic are basically the same.

the trending topic is that url dropdown needs to be reworked, but not in the way it was done in recent builds
sad to see that even though this was requested more than a year ago, there've been only a regression
