I've had this problem ever since I can remember, but now that I know v12 is being worked on I decided to post about it.

The problem is that list of downloads randomly clears some entries.
Most recent example : few minutes ago I've finished downloading 20+ files, closed opera, opened it again and there are only 7 entries of these and one entry from a few days ago.

I haven't noticed any pattern in these disappearances, sometimes I couldn't care less about it but sometimes it can be really annoying.

It happens on both my PC's, one running XP and second win7, as I've stated it's not something that started with last update.

Kind of connected issue seems to be opera not remembering sites that I've pinned right to address bar, sometimes it works flawlessly, sometimes freshly pinned sites arent there on next startup.

Both seem to me as some kind of data storage problems.

Do those downloaded files still exist? I've noticed that Opera forgets some of its downloads as well, but as far as I can tell, the forgotten files are usually the ones that are no longer where I downloaded them to.

Nope, I havent even opened the folder they got downloaded to. What is more all of these 20 files were downloaded into the same folder.

It was like : downloads finished -> mouse on opera close button -> mouse on opera icon p

Yeah, it's been going on for a while. See this thread and particularly this post regarding a bug report.

Whenever I download a lot of stuff that I think for any reason I might ever want a record of (e.g., maybe to assist my addled memory at some point p), I just make a copy of my download.dat while I'm thinking of it, before I close Opera, so none of Opera's Exit or Startup housekeeping has a chance to delete anything from the Downloads list (for who knows what reason ???).

(I think I recall sgunhouse once mentioning that it's supposed to retain a list of downloads for the last 7 days, but if that is the case, it definitely hasn't worked that way for me in any version since 9.27.)
