Lucky before or unlucky now (tab close)?

When I installed OM on my Android, if I had several tabs open but selected 'startpage' before closing (manually), next time I opened I would have just the start page and no other tabs open. However a couple of days ago it all changed and, even if I select start page before close, I come back, even hours later, and find all the old tabs still open.
So:
1. Has something in 'config' changed (as in a Phone/program crash)?
2. If not, which is proper behaviour?
3. I'm still on 11.1 at the moment - if I go to 11.5 will it then close extra tabs on exit?

If indeed restarting with all previous tabs open is normal, it may just push me over the edge and to using Dolphin instead, despite its many faults.

I can live with no choice regarding opening new tabs in background, I can live with having to select the start page before exiting, but if now I also have to close all open tabs because Opera now won't it's all getting a bit silly. I just wish I could find OM 10 for Android, because on my old (Symbian) phone Opera Mobile 10 was streets ahead of anything else despite the major problem regarding (no) Flash.

So developers, which is it to be??

I'm not sure what this refers to, and you didn't describe it ...

?? HOw much more info do you need?I open (say) 3tabs in Opera Mobile 11.1 on a SonyEricsson Xperia Arc. Previously using 10.1 on Symbian, in that situation I would hit "exit" and next time it opened I would get the speed dial page on its own.
When I started using 11.1 on Android I would have to select 'startpage' before exit, since there is no option other than start with preivous on OM11. But if I had two or more tabs open, I would selct 'startpage', then hit 'exit', and next time I opened I would have just the startpage and none of the previous other tabs would be there.
Now if I have two or more tabs open, I hit 'startpage' then 'exit', but on reopening OM11 I get the startpage PLUS all the preivous tabs left open from the previous session.
In other words, to open with just a startpage (i.e. speeddial page) now, I have to MANUALLY close every tab except one, then point that one to the startpage. Before, closing OM11 would close all tabs except the one in the foreground.

Is that enough, because I don't know how much more you want.........?
