Please can everyone report bugs using the Bug Wizard and maybe Opera will get enough to put effort into fixing it.
No don't do that.

Think about whether it has already been reported. You can find this out by communicating with other Opera users in the community forums, checking newsgroups or the Opera-users mailing list. If the bug is being discussed, it has probably been reported already. In this case, do not file a bug report, as any report filed will be marked as a duplicate. This wastes both your time and the time that we could better spend resolving existing issues

After synchronization with Opera link most of my bookmarks gone((( Remaining 10 percent probably.. Could anybody help?
Enter this in the address bar opera:about and find the folder for Bookmarks. It might be hidden in Windows, so unhide so first unhide it from windows explorer>folder options. In that folder there should be a second bookmarks.adr with the link word added, that is the backup that Opera takes before sync. Copy that to another folder and then delete bookmarks.adr and rename the backup one as bookmarks.adr and copy it to the folder where the original was.

You reported a bug and you have posted in the forum, that is the only avenue open to you, just as it is for the rest of us.

Fortunately, I stumbled on the .pre_sync files and got my Speeddial, Search engines, and Operaprefs INI files back. So I will never use that Sync feature ever again; however, I learned long ago to back up my bookmarks. I have been exporting my Opera bookmarks (both .adr and .html) to flash drives for about 6 years now so no matter what happens, I'll always have a reliable backup. I do the same thing with my I.E. bookmarks.
For anybody else discovering this horror, I'm running both WinXP SP3 and Windows 7. Look for the .PRE_SYNC files in your C:\Documents and Settings\<your_user_name_here>\Application Data\Opera\Opera folder with Hidden files showing.
