Mail client slowly reads mail

Good day!
Mail client very slowly reads mail. Yes, I have a lot of mails in mailbox.
At the begining, "Synchronization 329/79690", after it "Storing flag 2/10" and others.
Some of this operations can freeze, then I press "X" and Ctrl+K.
Reading of one mail can reach one minute.

Does somebody know, is there ways for speed up process of reading mail?

Download the Opera installer and use the "standalone installation" to install to a folder on your desktop. Setup the IMAP account in it (do not import anything) and see if it works fine there. That should tell you if it's just your current mail folder or not.

If it's still slow, log the connection and see if you can see where the problem is.

If you have any anti-virus, firewall or security software, try disabling/uninstalling for a sec to see if that improves performance. If Opera is installed on a slow usb drive, synchronization could be slow.

What Opera version? How many accounts? What type of account for each? What do you have the offline availability setting set to for each IMAP account? Are you using low-bandwidth mode? System Info? Connection Speed?
