CPU usage on theverge.com

The new tech site http://www.theverge.com/ makes Opera use a lot of CPU power. I believe this is because of heavy javascript usage on theverge (4.5M). However Opera is the only browser acting this way, works fine in Chrome/FF.

What looks nice? IE9 or the verge? : p

Anyways, this is actually a pretty big deal as the verge will probably sail up to become the "new" engadget in a short period of time, seen as most of the verge's staff is the old engadget crew.

confirmed in opera 11.52 build 11.00 on windows xp, but when I have disabled all the stylesheet, the max cpu usage on scrolling is between 10%-16%, only when images are displayed on screen.

I have tried to find the css rule (or rules) that causes this issue, but I have no success...

I experience the very same issues, and this is a big deal for me, as theverge.com is one of the sites i visit very often.

I find myself switching to chrome more and more these days, and i am not happy about that.

The site is badly broken in Opera 11.60 beta latest build.
