How to restrict Opera to localhost ?
Hi all,I've created an alternate launcher for Opera, to launch it without the mail client, without cache, without plug‑ins, and so on, in order to use it on local host only, for some purpose (mainly documentation purpose).
It is launched with a specific profile directory (command line option “-pd”).
Everything is fine, except to be perfect, I need to restrict it to local host only, like 127.*.*.* and
Is there a known configuration to achieve this ?
For publication tool chain (for the web and else) : Semantic online editor, Lasidoré (XML based) - prerelease - requires at least Opera 9.5 to work nice

Open urlfilter.ini in text editor and replace content with the following. If it doesn't exist create it inside Opera directory.
Opera Preferences version 2.1 ; Do not edit this file while Opera is running ; This file is stored in UTF-8 encoding [prefs] prioritize excludelist=0 [include] http://127.*.*.*/* file://localhost/* [exclude] *
Hello Tamil, nice to see again
Tried urlfilter.ini, … does nothing. I tried to understand why and tried to trick, but whatever I do, it does not block any external URLs or contents.
Fortunately, I found a way: open Menu -> Settings -> Preferences. Then go to the Advanced tab, then select Network. Click on Proxy Server. Check HTTP, and “Use this proxy for all protocols”. In Proxy Server, enter “localhost” then in Port, enter “80”. All requests to outside of localhost will then be redirected to localhost's home page.
And voilà
