Opera Mini doesn't show full version of website

Hi,

I find it pretty annoying to be automatically redirected to a movile version of a website when I use opera on my Nokia N8.
I know that, it is most likely the website which creates that redirection. I know as well that most of them should have a link onto the full version.
But reality is that, many don't have this link! and then we're stuck on an amputated version of a website.
Is there anyways to force the display of full website? anyways that Opera Mini would present itself as full Opera?

Thanks for helping.

This is no full proof solution but sometimes I search a website on google and click the result which shows desktop page url.

Thank you for the tip, but this doesn't work.
The first page displayed is indeed the full website but once a single link clicked it goes back to the crippled one.

Opera mini identifies itself, and the web site decides whether to show the mobile version or the standard version. On the BB, we can choose whether the browser reports itself as being a blackberry, or pretending to be firefox or ie. Choosing either of the latter will keep mobile pages from displaying.

I'd love to have that sort of choice in Mini.

Informations about mobile platform are forwarded in UA string and that's the best practice for compatibility, not a simple recommandation. If 'j2me/midp' is detected then mobile layout is 'served', that's how it works. For the same reason is better for a mobile (default) browser to identify with Profile/Configuration data in UA string and Opera Mini or any other java app would be more user friendly.

I entirely agree with you!!! It is a foolish thing still use a WAP format nowadays!
This was the reason I decided to uninstall it in the past and install the BOLTBROWSER!!!
It was amazing! HTML screens without any restriction or special configurations!!!
Opera's developers should do the same with no blá-blá-blá

Opera engineers can tell Opera Mini to identify as a Desktop browser on a site to site basis. Please file a bug report.
