Feedback and Font Rendering Question

Hello Dear Opera community and devs ,

Let me start by giving a big Thank You to all those that made Opera a reality . I've been using it for the past 11 years and It's still #1 in my book . It's been the most secure browser ever and despite my habits of wondering in the dark places of the net I've yet to be infected .

Although there are plenty of of fixes and improvements I can suggest I'll focus on just one ATM . Opera's support for web fonts is poor to say the least . As a web designer I feel that my hands are cuffed because Opera takes my custom fonts and makes them into some nasty things . All this while IE and FF march triumphant . Only Chrome suffers from the same problem (I'm not sure about Safari) but that browsers is the brain child of people that believe 2 seconds loading time is an ice age .

My question is , when will Opera deliver the awesome experience of perfect web-fonts ? I know you guys are currently focusing on speed and I admit that I like that initiative since Opera lacks a bit in that department , but you should bear in mind that web-fonts are a critical part of the web and Opera should proudly display them .

Thank you for reading this .

EDIT : Here's an example of bad font rendering : http://auctionautobidder.com/new/ Try using our beloved Opera then try FailFox

Never seen anything wrong with any font on any website - Though I do not use websites with Unicode fonts so I can't say anything with Unicode fonts.
Since you are using Opera from 11 years, you must know how to do a clean-install, right? So try doing a clean-install first.
Windows 7 SP1 x86 edition and Windows XP Service Pack 3.

@Swapnil : I'm not talking about myself but about the millions of Opera users that go trough my websites or the websites that I've built for others . It's useless and annoying to put some text on the page to tell the Opera users to do a clean install to properly view just some one website .

No obvious difference at all, which is why I asked you for a better description of what you mean by "nasty things" and/or to post a screen shot, so that we can see what you see.

I'm talking about DirectWrite vs the current font engine but after snooping around a bit it seems that Opera will have it to in version 12 . I hope bigsmile
