Qwertz keeps switching to qwerty problem

Hey,
this problem is killing me for a while, first i must say that this only happens in Opera, all other apps are working normally.

The problem is that it keeps switching local keyboard setting, so instead of sticking to qwertz as it should it keeps going back to what i guess is Opera s default keyboard setting qwerty. This problem was not solved with updates (it is appearing for a while, lately almost all the time), things get back to my keyboard settings when i reset Opera

Any help would be much appreciated (if the answer to this problem is obvious i apologize, but i couldn t find anything usable

thanx

AFAIK this is nothing to do with Opera. Only Windows will switch your default keyboard layout

Check your Opera Keyboard setup in Preferences, Shortcuts if something odd is happening. Commands can be remapped to any keys, but typing in an edit box should use your default qwertz layout.

thanx for your answer Pesala,

the reason for my oppinion that this is not Windows settings but Opera originating problem because it only occurs in Opera, and when it does i never observe this problem elsewhere (other programs).
I think that the trigger for this problem might be when computer is put to sleep mode.
I checked Keyboard setup in shortcuts, advanced, preferences but couldn t find anything that would help me on this matter.

any other suggestions?

You could delete all other languages, if you don't need them. So that you only have one language listed (probably the one with your native language and qwertz).

Here is a tutorial for windows 7:

Perhaps you are accidentally hitting Shift+Alt while using Opera?

Thank you both for the advices, the switching with alt+shift does the trick (didn't know for this shortcut), so if nothing else I'll be able to skip the Opera restarting (can't really tell if i kept pressing it by accident, all I can say: as far as i know i didn't bigsmile ), if the issue will keep emerging I will probably try the other method .. deleting other languages.
thanx for the help and enjoy smile
