Cache deleted but still loading old page
I am a long time fan, but this is my first post. I hope I have the right forum.I had a peculiar error where I was able to delete all private data, including the cache, then type in a URL and the page Opera would load was not up to date. It seemed to be finding the old page in a place that was not getting deleted. I know the page that loaded was not up to date, because if I typed the URL at an anonymous proxy service that would hide my IP, it would load an up to date version of the page. I tried this several times and it did not function properly until I upgraded to the latest release of Opera. Can someone tell me what was going on?
I've been wondering how to delete the cache manually. Is it always safe to delete all folders and files inside Program Files\Opera\profile\cache ? I see a long list of folders with names such as g_000A, g_000B, etc, etc. Some have contents, some are empty. Or are you saying that I can delete the cache folder itself and Opera will replace it later when needed?
