opera mini 6.5 connection fails through mobile carrier (but ok through wifi)
Hello AllI have a standard blackberry torch 9800
Until recently, I was using Opera Mini 6.1, which worked fine (both through wifi and 2g/3g carriers)
Two days ago, I upgraded to Opera Mini 6.5 (everything else equal), and now...
- the new Opera Mini 6.5 browser works perfectly through a wifi connection
- the new Opera Mini 6.5 browser does not connect anymore through my mobile carrier (neigher 2g nor 3g)
I have carefuly checked and authorized all the "application rights" (like before with Opera 6.1), but still it won't connect through my mobile carrier
(but completely ok (and really fast (faster thant 6.12) through any wifi connection
I have to precise that for all other apps (includind the "native internal blackberry web browser), internet connection is perfect (both with the mobile carrier, and with the wifi) : all other apps do access perfectly to the internet (weather apps, gps apps, google apps, social networks apps, etc...) : Only Opera Mobile 6.5 fails...
Any idea or suggestion ?

Oh yes I have tried that, at first !
I've tried all different settings with Opera
I've rebooted each time to be sure (cold boot (very long) and warm boot (faster)
I even have tried other TCP/IP settings (APN settings)
For every and each settings, I've tried the connectivity among other apps using internet
- native browser
- googlemaps
- facebook
- weather
- etc..
Every and Each other apps works perfectly fine (both on 2g/3g and on Wifi)
And... no matter the different settings : Opera Mobile 6.5 NEVER connects to the net through 2g/3g...
...but ALWAYS does it through the Wifi
this is really amazing
My last hope is to uninstall version Opera Mobile version 6.5 and re-install version 6.1....
but this will be difficult because on the air install only takes into account the most recent version....
