Opera 11.60 build 1134 snapshot available
Reading between the lines, I guess they've decided hardware acceleration won't be ready for Christmas ... so they're planning to release a version without acceleration as Opera 11.60. It will have Ragnarok, the star in the address bar, CSS3 gradients, etc. Only thing I don't see mentioned is whether it uses the same mail backend as 12 - I do remember backing up my mail folder before installing one of the snapshots, I guess I'll have to ask Ruari. They do say that themes are disabled, other than that ... well, the changelog is since 12.00 build 1116 so until told otherwise I'll presume it has the same mail backend as 12.00 has had.Big, BIG note: This build installs as Opera, not as Opera Next, and therefore by default will overwrite 11.52 unless you change the install directory.
With that out of the way ...
Known issues
Opera 11.60 snapshots will not be auto-updated (only 12.00 snapshots).
Flash Player 11 crashes on Mac. We recommend disabling it or downgrading for the time being.
This is an Opera build not Opera Next. You should backup your stable profile before upgrade.
(Oh, and the changelog since 1116 is huge, you may well want to at least skim it.)

Yes, it does contain the new Mail storage system, telling you -
Opera 11.60 build 1134 = Opera 12.00 build 1116 + new changes in Opera 11.60 build 1134 - HWA, WebGL and Featherweight Themes.
So that means Opera 11.60 contains everything from Opera 12 pre-alphas (All Opera 12 builds released before 13 October 2011).
Windows 7 SP1 x86 edition and Windows XP Service Pack 3.
