For the first time in about 5 years I have been forced to stop using Opera
Sadly Opera is now unusable for the first time in about 5 years. It takes forever to load anything (www.cricinfo.com for example but many, many, many, many other examples) when IE and FF take microseconds to load and it (Opera) constantly crashes. I have tried going back to each previous version all the way back to 11.00 with no joy at all. I have the same problem on two machines at home and one at work. Not worth wasting my time any longer.Hope you sort this out soon. Last time this happened I didn't rejoin for about 6-9 months. Not happy.
Rooting for you getting this fixed soon. I assume that the fact that older versions have same issue means that sites are doing IE specific dodgy code but thems the breaks

Kind Regards
Splodgi
Before you leave, try installing Opera 11.60 snapshot IN PORTABLE INSTALLATION MODE.
Windows 7 SP1 x86 edition and Windows XP Service Pack 3.

Before switching, try to disable excess plugins as those are often the cause of issues. Flash is notorious for that. Also what are your system specs? it could be that your trying to run too much and have too little resources for opera to work right.

Sorry to hear that. If you've given an E-mail address in the "Report a crash" dialog, you could send me a message with that E-mail, and I'll look up the crash reports and see if there is any hint of what the underlying problem is.
Apart from that, it's a good idea to go through plugins and extensions and remove / deactivate those you don't need. It might help with stability and performance.
