Opera ( Usb ) - Is all new version of opera in future also suitable to run by USB thumb drive ?

HI all,

Question as per subject.
If answer is yes, should I accept all upgrade suggested by Opera when a new version is introduced ? (Automatically update)

Thank you !
Edmond.

The Opera installation package now offers a USB install option. I always use it to keep my profile together with the Opera files on an encrypted virtual drive.

I now recommend installing new Opera versions in a separate folder to make sure they meet your requirements rather than overwriting your existing installation because it is so easy to do with the USB install option.

If you want to keep abreast of upcoming changes, disable auto-updates and subscribe to the Desktop Team RSS feed. Always install test versions in a new folder.

Thanks Pesala,

Unfortunately, your screen capture did not show up to me to give me that option.

I am using a Opear USB due to some reason, I forgot to un-check the check + install upgrade automatically.

Therefore, few days ago, I click the USB opera, it asked me if I want to upgrade now. Means, it has downloaded & ready to iinstall. I then go to the setting, switch off the automatically upgrade & of course it won't work because it has download"ed" the newer version & is just waiting for me to hit "install". I only discovered this as each time I hit opera, it asked me to install of not. I then forced to hit install & it went directly to the installation without your screen capture.

It works fine on my USB & my question is just curious Opera is always able to run on USB ? (Means, it does not have to have a specific USB version is need but upgrading to newer version & all newer version all okay to run on USB ?)

Thank you
Edmond.
