Opera [1116] error when waiting longer than 2 minutes to submit a form
Opera beta [1116]Please confirm, but there is an error message that displays when I wait longer than 2 minutes after a page is loaded to submit a form.
The test page is here: http://www.animeviews.com/atest.php
The error message is
"Your request timed out. Please retry the request."
At first I thought this was a server error, but I am only getting this message with Opera beta.
True, but being the author of that page I noticed that it wasn't there in the last stable release, but after updating to Opera 11.60 alpha the error was present. I did not notice this error in IE8, Chrome, or Firefox either. If you have any idea how to fix this I would be happy to make the change and forget about it.
Thanks for responding and confirming this for me. I take it this would not qualify as an Opera bug?

This second version has a lot less code. I can prune some more from it if you would like, but this version is just HTML with a touch of CSS. No PHP or javascript. The same holds true though. If you wait 2 minutes after the page loads and hit the submit button the error message:
"Your request timed out. Please retry the request."
will display in the top left corner of the page.

This was a tricky bug to pin down, but I think I have it mostly figured out. It appears that the reason this "bug" appears in Opera has to do with certain persistent connections to the server that hosts the website. After many long phone calls, forum posts, and ticket submissions I learned that this was a "node" issue. I really do not know what that means, but basically, this is a server issue. A very limited workaround is to alter the persistent connection settings of the browser, but that would not fix the problem for other visitors.
The service in question is shared 4G Hosting from GoDaddy. GoDaddy has been a great company for me and no company is perfect. This issue is being fixed and worked on as it comes up for customers.
