How to force a move to new label?
Hi All,I like to keep the current Label with only a few emails in it so I have an "OldStuff" folder below the current folder.
I can select and drag emails to the OldStuff and that works, but I just tried to select what I wanted to move then dropped down the Labels box at the end and selected OldStuff. It then marked all the select emails as OldStuff.
When I check in OldStuff they are all there, BUT, they are also still all in the current Label. Shouldn't assigning a new label automatically relocate it? I tried shutting down and restarting but same same all still in both places.
What I need is a command to "Refresh Labels" or something to leave just only those emails with the current Label.
Thoughts? Solutions?
Thanks

No, because you can apply multiple labels to a message.
If you want to move a message from one label to another, drag it from the label it's in to the label you want. Ctrl + drag will do a copy instead. You can also use cut/copy and paste in the corresponding message lists. It's just like with windows explorer with folders, in this case.
A drag from a non-label view to a label will be like an add/copy to that label.
In an existing label, you can right-click a message and choose "remove from view" to get it out of the label (as opposed to unchecking that label in the "label as" menu).
