Few simple wishes
Here are some wishes that are easy to implement but which would greatly improve usability.- Vertical scrolling: make a threshold for horizontal finger movements before which these movements are ignored. Will make scrolling a lot less fidgety. Similar for horizontal scrolling.
- Long press on a link - add Open In New Foreground Tab option.
- Bookmarks: On tablets make the bookmark menu open all the way to the bottom. Right now it's a small window, no reason for that.
- Memorize bookmark folder position so next time when entering bookmarks the previous folder is opened. Would save a lot of clicks. Can be optional.
- Simplify entering bookmarks. Right now it's three (or even four if folder needed) clicks, all in different areas of the phone/tablet (Menu->Opera->Bookmarks[->Folder]) On Dolphin it's just one flick. If making panels Dolphin-style is too complicated, can something like long press on the Menu button do the trick?
- Would be nice to select several bookmarks and open them all in separate tabs. Better yet - open the whole folder in separate tabs. Optional warning can be made when attempting to open too many (let's say more that 16 at a time.)
- If exiting by the Exit button, don't memorize opened pages so they are not opened next time. Exit is exit meaning - goodbye all that is opened, don't want to see you again. Actually can be a checkbox on the Exit dialog.
- Is this a bug that it's needed to click twice on the X-mark to close a tab?
clicking twice on X is as a confirmation.
it's useful to prevent accidentally closing a tab you where about to open.
