How to Make Opera Select the Newest Message when Opening a View

When you close a view, Opera remembers the message in the list that you have selected so that it's still selected when you open the view again[1]. This is great as you can continue from where you left off. But, some would rather have the newest message selected.

Opera doesn't have an option for this, but to get Opera to always select the newest message when opening a view, you need to make sure no messages are selected when you close the view. To do this, ctrl + left-click the message that's selected to deselect it. Or, if you're using a Mail View Mode of "List only" or "List and message below" and you have Opera maximized, you can left-click the very right edge of Opera's window past the scrollbar.

1. Note that switching accounts while a view is open can change what message is selected.

Hi,
this solution didn't help in my case - my Opera (11.60) ALWAYS starts on the same message from 8. December - I have no clue how could I reset it sad
