Opera.HTML Default Icon messed up
I think this is a "classic bug": windows explorer not showing correct icon for Opera associated file types (only blank unknown file types)My browser is the lattest 11.52.1100.. i already make Opera my "Default" browser, trying editing registries HKLM classes, icon cache, CLSID 420422.., control panel.. anything without results.. still showing blank icons
The irony is if i change default browser to IE9 and Firefox 8; the icons change to the corresponding browser without problems.
My OS is Windows 7 32bit.
my questions is.. why?
Bug in Microsoft Office's Icon Handler that it registers for .html files.
Open regedit (you may need to open it as an administrator, on Windows 7 the easiest way to do that is type 'regedit' in to the Start Menu search bar and hold ctrl+shift while pressing enter.)
Find this key:
You may need to periodically reapply this fix.
Opera can fix it (bug DSK-345045) by registering their icons without the quotes — that way when Office copies the value it's in a way that the icon handler can understand. But if the Windows shell can understand the path with or without quotes the icon handler should behave in the same way.
