How to set default zoom level?

It seems every time I click a link or open a new page, it opens in "fit to width" mode which makes it impossible to read anything on a 3.7" screen. So every time, I have to double-tap or pinch to zoom before I can actually do anything useful on a page, like, you know, read stuff...? This adds to the time it takes this supposedly fast browser to load the page, since you also have to factor in the time it takes to zoom in to make it readable after clicking each link. This gets tiring real fast.

How can I make Opera Mobile always open new pages at a readable zoom setting like e.g. 150%? The setting in the menu only seems to affect the zoom level you get when double-tapping, not the default zoom level when opening new pages.

Desktop pages load fit to width until you double tap the area you wanna zoom to. This lets you see the whole page and zoom to the area of interest. In landscape the page was legible on load (granted my screen is 4.3"). The act of zooming took less than a second before I was reading the page in portrait. You must be really pressed for time to be bothered by such a trivial thing as an extra double tap. If it takes a long time to zoom blame your phone, not the browser.

Fit to width should be optional. It is wrong for the developers to assume that everyone would want it all of the time, without exception.

Please add an option for this.
