Problem with Gmail and Opera's e-mail client: Sent e-mails appear in the inbox
Hey folks, I have a gmail-account (IMAP activated) and use Opera's e-mail client (IMAP, version 11.52). Everytime I send an e-mail via Opera, something strange happens: The sent e-mail appears in both the outbox and the inbox. Well, I guess you can understand that it's annoying to see my sent e-mails in the inbox. I've been looking around for solutions, apparently I'm not the only one with this kind of problem. I struggled to find a solution, though. So I hope someone here can help!9. November 2011, 18:50:58 (edited)
With Gmail, your sent messages are part of the conversation, so you should see your sent messages with your other messages, just like you do at mail.google.com.
If you want to work around it, create a label in the "Labels" access point named "Gmail Sent". Right-click on it and goto properties". On the options tab, uncheck "apply only to new" and check "hide these messages from other views". Then, on the rules tab, add a single rule that matches a from header that contains you@gmail.com where you@gmail.com is your gmail address. That should hide the sent messages.
