“Go to page” dialugou show current URL

It would be great if “Go to page” dialogue (the one opened by the “Go to page” action) would show current URL instead of last typed URL.

In my configuration I have no address bar and use “Go to page” dialogue to enter URLs. Because the dialogue shows the last typed address instead of address of the current page, it is hard to copy or modify URL of the current page with my set up. Should the dialogue show the address of current page, life would be much easier for me. smile

Just right-click on the page to copy the address.

If you modify the default setup, and don't use the address bar you should not expect the default to be changed to suit your non-standard way of working.

Haven't though about that, will give it a try. It still covers only part of my use cases as it does not let me easily edit URL, and in X Window it works with clipboard rather then primary selection which I'd prefer.

If for others there is no difference one way or another, there is no harm in making me happier. If the default matters to you, say so, rather then giving pointless remarks.

My remarks are rarely pointless. The default always matters to someone. Changing defaults will force others to change the way that they work.

Take a look at this thread. You might not use the drop down arrow in the address bar or in the Go to page dialogue, but there are some users who do, and for them disabling it by default and forcing them to go looking for ways to get it back was a real nuisance.

Maybe they are, maybe the aren't. Either way, I never requested changing the default.
