Weird behaviour after Opera update
Hi all,I am an Ubuntu user. In Synaptic, I saw Opera in the list of software which could be updated. I selected the update, then run it, closed Opera and then re-open Opera.
Instead of the common welcome page, for Opera 11.X, I saw a welcome page saying “Thanks to use Opera Next”. I have an Opera Next installed, but this was not Opera Next which I opened, this was my regular Opera browser.
Then, in the mailer, I saw the layout totally changed, and now display three vertical panes side by side. Some icons has changed too. Is that OK ?
I'm afraid something went wrong and the updates made some confusion between Opera and Opera Next.
The about page says “Opera 11.60 beta”. Really, I'm afraid. Is that OK if it says Beta ? I've just checked my Opera Next, and it says Opera 12. So may be it did not really installed Opera Next in place of Opera. But then why this welcome page about Opera Next and this Beta in the version number ?
What happened ?

Its not a disaster as the beta is fairly stable. I suspect the final will be released next week or the week after.
You can change the new mail layout back to list above and message below, and remove the group headings, if you wish to.
If you followed the normal route for downloading Opera 11.60 for Linux you would see this:

I don't mind for the new mail client layout, and even like it a lot (accommodate better on a wide screen 1440x900) . Just that I was afraid of an error, as I get a welcome page about “thank for using Opera Next”, while I updated Opera regular.
After some times, everything seems OK finally, so I'm not frightened any more now
All is fine!
