Facebook notifications, sidebar chat and friend request is'nt working

Hi there!

Latley i've been unable to browse facebook with my default opera browser. I cannot like, comment, update status, check notifications... nothing whatsoever... The site just dosent work, and as an addicted facebookuser, this is quite frustrating. The site works perfectly on other browsers (even IE!). But i simply love opera, so i refuse to change browsers. Is there any help to get?

To describe further, when i click the like button, the animation plays and it would seem like the like went ok, but when then i'm not listed as a person that liked that status. It would seem like the data is'nt sent to the server?

Im using Windows 7 64-bit and opera 11.52, with the following extentions:

FocusOnTextBox (v 2.2)
ImgTip (v 1.5)
YoutubeAdsFree (v 1.3)
open-in-background-with-ling-press (v 1.0.2)

best regards!

Have you tested with all the extensions disabled?

Ok, now i just found out that it works great on my laptop, but not the desktop computer...

Leo: I've tried that, with no success.. but thanks anyway!

Duncan: Thanks, i tried to update to the 11.60 beta, the update was successfull, but it didnt fix anything!

Since the problem only appeares on the desktop, it leads me to think that there is some conflicting software installed... Or mby corrupt flash/java or something?

any more tips on how to resolve this issue?

You can do a test. Run Opera's installer, go to options, change the instal path and choose "stand alone installation". Then run Opera from the choosen folder and see if the problem still happens.

wow! Thanks leo! That actually did the trick! Now, how do i resolve the issue with the main installed version of opera?

hmm, this is weird... i cant really see why it works on stand-alone and not the one installed....

edit: Hmm, i tried to update flash, and that seemed to do the trick... facebook works again, for now... Thanks for the help leo! Now i can enjoy the full facebook experience in opera, priceless!
