Fedora Gnome 3 Icon and Desktop file for Opera
Hi All,Here's the details:
Fedora 2.6.40.6-0.fc15.x86_64
Gnome V 3.0.1
Opera 11.60 Beta build 1147.
Here's the situation. I was having a lot of crashes with the previous Opera V 11.52. Every time I closed the program. I also encountered crashes when I tried to install new skins. So I searched across the internet and decided to install my present verison as provided in rpm form. The problem(s) have disappeared and everything seems to be running well, except...
I can only start Opera from a terminal; the .desktop file and Opera icon seem to have disappeared on the reinstall, and this is an aggravation, to say the least, I cannot access the program from any other means.
I am a big fan of freedesktop.org, and I use their specs when developing my own apps, but I can't figure out what has happened to the Opera desktop stuff or how to fix it. Any ideas? I've tried to search here and across the internet but it is difficult to find anything. It would seem that I need to talk to an Opera developer to find out how the desktop stuff is organized. Thanks.
