Quick Find does not operate in Bookmarks Split View
Quick Find only works in Full ViewIf I set Bookmarks as Split View, then Quick Find fails to operate. Is this by design? If so, it seems a tiresome limitation. I want to be able to work in one folder, think of another site I need and to be able to swiftly call it up without having to manually search for the correct folder.
Grateful for any advice or views you can offer.

I have a similar problem. Sometimes it works , some times not. When I type in the [ Quick find ] box, the tree of bookmarks expands in the upper pane, but nothing happens in the lower pane of the split view. When that starts happening, I go to Tools, Appearance, Panels tab, [X] un-check Bookmarks, then re-check it, then click OK. Usually works for a while. Still don't know what makes it start screwing up. Opera 11.52 SuSE 11.4
At present Quick Search is working fine for me. I exported my bookmarks to a folder, uninstalled Opera completely, did a clean reinstall and then imported my bookmarks back into Opera. This seemed to ensure that QS worked correctly in Full View. Since installing Opera 11.60, the problem with QS in Split View seems to have disappeared. I'll try it for a while and see if it recurs. Does Clear appear correctly for you in the drop-down dialogue box?
