How to mark all Sent mail as Read?

Hi All,

11.60-Beta.

Either rightly or wrongly I have Labels for Accounts that contain both Received emails and Sent emails. The Label-system works fine and pushes the appropriate Sent email to the correct Label, but it shows it as always un-read (Envelope icon)

I have to go through each Sent email and click on it to disperse the "Un-Read" status.

Is there a way to make all Sent items marked as "Read" since I have just Sent them, it is pretty obvious they have been "Read."

Thanks

On the label's properties, go to options and check "mark matching messages as read".

What color is the text for these messages (ones you haven't selected)? Is it blue?

Hi BurnOut,

The second "TO" line, I have clicked to show it marked as "Read"

Hi Leo,

Thanks, but that has not changed anything. The Sent still stay with the blue envelope.

Also, "Apply rules to only new messages" has been UN-checked since I set up the Rules for this Label.

I can reproduce this in "All Messages/Sent" for example when I have the mail view mode set to "list only". If I switch to "list and message below", I can get rid of the envelopes by just clicking it message that has it.

Thanks BurnOut, but that's what I am trying to automate. The Label Rules automatically move the Sent emails into the appropriate Label, but then I have to go through and click them to make the blue envelope go away.

I Sent out a total of 27 emails over 11 different accounts (Labels) this morning, now I have to go through all of the Labels to find which ones contain "Sent" items then click the headings of every one so that it is then marked as "Read"

As I said in the original Post, I have just created/replied and Sent the email so I should not have to then click each Sent item just so it shows up as having been Read. Quite obviously it was Read before sending.

I am not complaining, I am just trying to point out inconsistencies with the system. I am super happy with Opera Mail and no intentions of returning to TB, but I am a programmer and I notice User Interface issues.
