Social Fixer for Facebook.

A new release of the `better facebook' extension is now available.
After legal problems the extension has been re-designed.
Gives you more options and themes amongst other things in Facebook.

I would just keep my default look. Who can guarantee the software would not inject or post malicious content to my wall. Anyways, additional softwares can destabilize and bog down the browser?

Makes a huge difference to hundreds of thousands of peoples facebook experience.
Many more options, I have used it for over 6 months, any problems that arise are promptly fixed by the developer.

You can trust this one. Otherwise the project won't have survived since 2009. It's not a new thing - it was called Better Facebook previously.

This one won't slow your browser down - until you change the theme.

Eh. Would not touch it with a 5 mile pole. Also, use IE9 so no plugins for me.

Well, I would certainly recommend it, aside from all the extra features the dark themes can save you a headache from the standard bright white glare from facebook. Also it is one click to disable and return to standard facebook, same to go back to Social Fixer.
It does not support internet explorer but does support Opera and other browsers.
Given that this is Opera forums, IE9 compatibility is not relevant.

+1, and it's really bad - using the excellent My Opera service but loving Microsoft by using IE.

Eh. Can't be bothered to switch to Opera since Adobe Authorware only works with IE9 and I'm so used with Internet Explorer. IE9 is on par with Opera regarding speed.

But I use Opera Mini.

Stunning - Adobe Authorware was discontinued before 2007 as fas as I know and you are still using it.
Why not find a replacement?

social fixer is a desktop extension and software.
mind you it might work in some phones and probably tablets.

Now this news is open that Social Fixer is launched. But I have heard that it is just a beta version not a full version.

Social Fixer was never brand new launched - Better Facebook was re-branded as Social Fixer. No, it is a full version and currently stands at Social Fixer version 6.2.

The developer `Matt Kruse' has been putting a lot of work into the extension/software.
He has recently pretty much finished the changeover from `better facebook' to `social fixer'
This has included a lot of rebuilding as well as new servers etc.
Because he is still making some minor changes it is sort of still classified as `beta'.
But the current version is complete and works fine.
As `Swapnil99pro' stated the current version is 6.2

It's not actually a Beta - Facebook continues to change it's code so Matt Kruse HAS to do minor changes; so you can't call it Beta for your whole life just because the extension is updated each time to stay current with Facebook code changes.

Well Farmville was in Beta for a looong time. So as Google talk and Google mail.

So you must have done something incorrect.
Either you never uninstalled the old version
or
You installed the wrong version.

Uninstall it then click on that install link, or download it and have a look at socialfixer.user.js. Don't you see "var version = 5.968;"? Maybe it gets its update from somewhere else, and he hasn't updated that install link yet.
