11.6 - Horrbile Change to Mail. How to get rid of Dates bar in Mail and stop it threading

Ubuntu just updated OPera to 11.6
and now i have some really annoying new Mail things:
1. it moved the buttons away from the top of the mail window - managed to get them back
2. Now there are awful huge bars across my mail saying Today, Yesterday October - how can i hide them?
3. the emails seem to be threading when i dont want them too, even when i click on the Sent column to sort by most recent at the top. Emails seem to stay in thread even though they are more recent. I could miss emails this way.

I know i should have not installed OPera updates to willingly - they often surprise me in horrible ways

Still the best browser though, and has been since early 00s.

Its not recommended to install test versions over final versions. If you install them in a separate folder you can try them out before messing anything up. Before posting, its useful to read the blogs and beta forum. The date headings can be removed.

ok
fixed, thankfully.
In top right of my mail window is an icon of bar bars getting shorter.
Click on it
Tick Override Default Sorting
In first drop down select Sort by sent date
In second drop down select Do not Group

That gets rid of huge date bar and orders emails by most recent without threading

Though that didn't seem to apply it to all email folders, so had to do it twice.
And the second drop down select has a tendency to revert to Gourp by pin - though it may not have any effect.

Didn't realise it was a beta.
Just came up in a long list of updates for ubuntu.

Must try to remember to check whther it is a beta or not. Or maybe see if there is a way of not installing OPera betas???

See the thread in the Opera for *NIX forum for a discussion about this - another Ubuntu user was also updated to 11.60 when he shouldn't have been, I'm beginning to suspect the issue is on Ubuntu's end.
