Unread counters - where has the grey background gone?

Running Opera Next 12.00 Alpha build 1155 on Windows seven 64 bit.

The grey square to distinguish unread from read counts on the message list has gone :-(

Actually, it's still gray - but so is the background in general. The counters have a slightly lighter color which is probably not visible on many systems ...

Oh, I assume this is adjustable in the configuration.

I can't tell now as I removed it in disgust as I couldn't change the email layout. I HATE vertical!

I was talking about the layout ... since I'd posted a suggestion about that in the other thread just previously.

The counters - when they do more work on the skin they'll need to change it, maybe put a border around it or some such.

I assume I can change the borders by adjusting colour preferences. Haven't looked, as I got stuck with the layout.

I've discusses the layout in another thread you're in I believe - I can't get the horizontal option with pressing I.
