Some webpages "collapses" a couple of seconds after loading

Hi

At first Opera loads the page properly and you can see the content perfectly, but after 1 or 2 seconds it collapses like this: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/534/operaproblems.jpg/ (the screenshot is from www.lockerz.com). The problem occurs when you click on a picture at the website.

I've tried reinstall opera, delete cookies etc and change skins without any result.

I use 11.52 with Windows 7, 64 bit.

Grateful for any tip or ideas

Hey. Seems like you are having the same problem that I have.
This is what I get sometimes: http://www.cc.puv.fi/~e0600812/Opera.png

I'm also using W7 64-bit and Opera 11.52. I've tried with different versions of Opera too.
I haven't figured out a solution yet.

not sure, but it seems there is a userjs that applies this strange style after the page load; or try to see if you use any personalized css-file in preference->advanced->content->style options

Hello. I don't know if there's something fishy about my settings but please take a look at the pictures:

Do I have some wrong settings?

@apes87
Looks like you may be viewing in User Mode. O menu > Page > Style, select Author Mode.

@4headman22
http://lockerz.com/   works fine for me after clicking on a photo. I don't have any ideas to suggest. You might try going to Help > About Opera and look for the location of operaprefs.ini. Quit Opera and move operaprefs.ini to your Desktop or Trash. Restart Opera and a new operaprefs.ini will be created set to the default settings.

Nope. I have Author Mode as default style. I tried unchecking everything under User Mode but that didn't solve the issue. I even unchecked "My style sheet" and "My link style" under Author Mode but that didn't have any effect either.

I have Flash Player and Java installed. Nothing else.

I've reinstalled Opera like 10 times and I've tried different 11. versions but they all do the same.

Just a thought, but if you've been trying different Opera installs without deleting the old Opera profile files (and have been re-installing into the same-named folders, typically the default: "Opera"), then Opera will re-use those profile files that are intentionally left behind by a previous Opera un-install. If one or more of those files (especially operaprefs.ini) is corrupted and the file(s) retained by the "new" installation, then the corruption and problematic behavior may readily be present in the new installation as well. A lot of bizarre problems can be cleared up for many users by simply deleting the operaprefs.ini file with Opera turned off, then turning on Opera whereupon Opera will automatically create a fresh, new default operaprefs file without any corruption. Note: doing this will erase any custom Preference settings you made in the past, so always backup the file to a safe place before deleting it.

If deleting just the operaprefs file doesn't fix things, try deleting the entire Opera profile folder containing it (backing the folder/files up first, of course, so you can copy back specific personal files one-at-a-time which you want to retain, retesting Opera each time to make sure the just-copied file or subfolder isn't re-importing corruption).
Opera 12.14u (1738), 11.52 (1100) & 10.63 (3576) running on various Windows systems from Win7-64 down through KernelEx4-modified Win98FE (proof that reports of Win98's demise are greatly exaggerated).

Hey. I tried to delete the Opera folder when I reinstalled it but that didn't help.

It's funny because some web pages work just fine. No problems with them. And then some pages just won't work at all.
Then some pages mix up the pictures for example they change places.
This is how Opera shows "Opera forums" page:
http://www.cc.puv.fi/~e0600812/opera_forums_opera.png
And this is how IE9 shows it:
http://www.cc.puv.fi/~e0600812/opera_forums_ie9.png

I had this problem on my old setup too. 2TB HDD with 64-bit Windows 7. When I got my SSD and installed 64-bit W7 there the same issue continues. So reinstalling the operating system isn't solving the problem either.

Weird. For me, 11.52 displays the Opera forums page the same as your IE screenshot. Maybe you should try a build of Opera Next. My signature has a link to the Desktop team where you can find the links.

Do the same web pages always fail the same way each time you visit them, especially across different Opera sessions, or does the pattern of failure details seem to shift around over time and across multiple Opera sessions?

No they don't. Sometimes the web pages load different pictures or show different colors.
Sometimes when I hit Refresh after this happens: http://www.cc.puv.fi/~e0600812/Opera.png
the page can show a different view of that site but it's not shown as it should be.
So sometimes refreshing the page "fixes" the problem but most of the time it's the same.

Google, Facebook and Youtube are all showing correctly. Never had a problem with those sites.

I guess this is a good hint.
First, clean all the cookies and cache, then try to set to its default value this settings in preferences->advanced->network: "max connections to a server" (value: 16) and "max total connections" (value: 64)... maybe it will resolve the issue

Done that but no effect. The values on "max connections" were already at default.
