When opera hides or Unite is enabled, opening the browser always opens a new tab.Way to stop it?

Hi, this is my first post here and I hope I am posting in the right place for this question. I'm sure this is somewhat by design, but I find it very annoying. I like to use opera Unite ALOT. Its one of the main reasons I love opera so much! I just have one annoying issue. When Opera Unite is running, exiting opera (choosing the "hide" option") and then re-opening opera always opens a new speed dial tab no matter what the startup preference is set to. I of course want to keep Unite running at basically all times so exiting out completely isn't a good option. While I'm sure everybody reading this is screaming at their monitors saying 'JUST MINIMIZE THE WINDOW INSTEAD DUMMY!", that's not really satisfying my point lol! I Just figured that when opera is hidden in a fashion to keep Unite running, the browser should either A: still follow the preferences and parameters set for being re-opened since it leaves the windows 7 preview bar as an open application or B: Act as a merely minimized application to the start bar so it doesn't react as if being newly opened and start a new speed dial tab. This can get rather annoying and tedious as I have an extra tab pop up EVERY TIME I re-open the browser. So I guess my question is, is there a setting I am missing somewhere or where do I submit a request for a look over by, or bring this to the attention of, the developers?

Just use the system tray icon to reopen Opera.

I don't think this is a bug, and the same thing will happen if you minimize Opera.

I am sure that the issue has been discussed before, so there's no need to submit another bug report. It will just get closed as a duplicate.

thanks for the quick response! Ya, I didn't think this was a bug. But what I was saying is that the same things will NOT happen if you minimize. In my case for example, I have opera pinned on my windows 7 launcher bar, dock whatever you'd like to call it. When I hit close and select hide to keep unites going, the dock shows it as completely exited with no minimize like preview or anything so when I click it again, it only partially follows the reopening parameters as it still saves and opens all my previous tabs if I have it set to, but alway opens a new speed dial no matter what is set. From what i can tell this could never be the desired case. Although i could open it from the little system tray pop up menu, this still doesn't really solve the problem at hand, which I guess just seems to be improper handling of this situation on either windows or Opera's side.

If Opera is running and you click its desktop icon or select it from the Start menu, it will open a new tab in your running copy of Opera...
