New Tabs

If I am on a page in firefox that has several links I want to open I can open all of them without leaving that page, but in Opera everytime I open a new tab I am move to that tab. I then have to go back to the original tab and keep repeating the process. I would like an option to stay on the original tab instead of being moved to the new one I just opened.

If this is already possible I apologize, but I don't know how to do so.

To further clarify, those are four separate ways to open a link in the background, not steps to follow in order.
