There is no need for caps lock — it doesn't make the post easier to read, and looks like you're shouting for attention.

See my sig for a free backup utility. Make sure you select the right version of Opera to backup. Passwords are in wand.dat and bookmarks in bookmarks.adr or opera6.adr depending on the version.

I always use the USB install, which keeps the profile in the same folder as the installation. Its much easier to manage multiple versions that way. I have Opera 11.52, Opera 11.60, and Opera 12.00 installed at the moment.

Upload images to Your File Storage and use the icons above the message reply box to insert the relevant code. Save dialogues as PNG for better quality and smaller file sizes.

FastStone Capture 5.3 is Freeware, and has all the power that most users need.

Memory usage depends on which sites you visit, and how you use Opera — 100-200 Mbytes is normal for me. Some users report that it uses 1-2 Gbytes — probably they leave it running for days, and open lots of tabs.

  1. First Install the Program
  2. Then run it
  3. Then click on Next to export Opera's settings (or select Import if that's what you want to do)
  4. Then click on Browse to select the installation folder for Opera. In my case it is O:\Opera 11.52\ and the profile folder — which is detected automatically — is O:\Opera 11.52\profile\
  5. On the next screen, deselect any settings you don't wish to backup. idea Delete private data before running the backup to keep it much smaller. Deselect skins to save space.
  6. Click on Next to save the backup archive to a folder of your choice and complete the process. You now have a backup set, which you can select to import settings into Opera at step 3.
